Vre\u010dasti filtri se uporabljajo za filtracijo odpadnega zraka pri nizkih in srednjih temperaturah do pribl. 250 \u00b0C, tkanina vre\u010dke zadr\u017ei prah, ko te\u010de skozi. Cevi filtra se redno \u010distijo \u2013 ve\u010dinoma s pulzi stisnjenega zraka. \u010cistilni u\u010dinek pulza stisnjenega zraka se dodatno pove\u010da z nenadnim napihovanjem filtrske cevi. Vre\u010dasti filtri so zato posebej primerni za lepljiv ali mo\u010dno oprijemljiv prah.<\/li><li>\u017depni filtri se uporabljajo za odstranjevanje prahu iz majhnih koli\u010din plina. Filtrirni medij je razpet \u010dez plo\u0161\u010dat okvir v obliki plo\u0161\u010de, ki je na eni strani odprt za izhod \u010distega plina. Tok poteka od zunaj navznoter. Filtrirni \u017eepi se redno \u010distijo \u2013 predvsem s pulzi stisnjenega zraka. \u010cistilni u\u010dinek impulza stisnjenega zraka se dodatno pove\u010da z nenadnim napihovanjem filtrskega \u017eepa. Ta u\u010dinek je pri vre\u010dastem filtru le minimalno manj\u0161i kot pri vre\u010dastem filtru. \u017depni filtri so zato posebej primerni tudi za lepljiv ali mo\u010dno oprijemljiv prah.<\/li><li>Kartu\u0161ni filtri so vse bolj priljubljena alternativa vre\u010dastim filtrom. Filtrirni medij je prepognjen v obliki zvezde in postavljen na valjasto nosilno ko\u0161aro. Pretok poteka od zunaj navznoter, \u010di\u0161\u010denje s tla\u010dnim sunkom ali nizkotla\u010dnim izpiranjem. Kartu\u0161ni filtri se uporabljajo samo za prah, ki ga je enostavno o\u010distiti, sicer se gube zama\u0161ijo s prahom.<\/li><li>Lamelni filtri so alternativa vre\u010dastim filtrom. Dva prepognjena filtrirna medija sta name\u0161\u010dena drug na drugega in zlepljena ali zvarjena skupaj na svojih sti\u010dnih to\u010dkah. Pretok poteka od zunaj navznoter, \u010di\u0161\u010denje s tla\u010dnim sunkom ali nizkotla\u010dnim izpiranjem. Lamelni filtri se uporabljajo samo za prah, ki ga je enostavno o\u010distiti, sicer se gube zama\u0161ijo s prahom.<\/li><li>Pri kasetnih filtrih (\u00bbHEPA filtri\u00ab) plin s prahom obi\u010dajno vstopi v komoro za neobdelani plin ohi\u0161ja filtra v spodnjem delu \u2013 tu poteka predlo\u010devanje \u2013 in najprej te\u010de skozi prvo stopnjo filtra. Drobni prah, ki se prena\u0161a s seboj, se lo\u010di na zunanji strani gub filtrske kasete. Filtrirna kaseta se \u010disti pnevmatsko. Cev \u0161obe se po\u010dasi premika naprej in nazaj po celotni \u0161irini in dol\u017eini filtrske kasete. Stisnjen zrak piha filtrirni vlo\u017eek navzdol in osvobaja filtrske elemente pred prahom. O\u010di\u0161\u010den plin iz prve stopnje filtra lahko po \u017eelji te\u010de skozi drugo, neo\u010di\u0161\u010deno stopnjo filtra.
