Service & Commissioning Engineer – International Projects (Germany & France)

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced and highly motivated Service & Commissioning Engineers to lead the execution, erection, and commissioning of Air Pollution Control Systems (Bag Filters, Electrostatic Precipitators, Bag Houses, etc.) in Germany and France. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded professional who combines strong technical expertise with client-facing capabilities, ensuring system performance, successful project handover, and long-term customer satisfaction. This is a key international role requiring a balance of engineering knowledge, onsite execution skills, and the ability to manage stakeholder coordination across global sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • • Commissioning Execution: Lead erection, retrofitting, troubleshooting, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems for Air Pollution Control Equipment.
  • • Technical Documentation: Prepare commissioning protocols, O&M manuals, test sheets, and technical handover documentation.
  • Compile commissioning reports postcompletion.
  • • Scope Understanding: Study client specifications and project scope to ensure contractual compliance during execution.
  • Translate specs into actionable commissioning tasks.
  • • Vendor Coordination: Engage with vendors for drawing approvals, manufacturing followups, and inspections as per QAP. Ensure timely material dispatches to site.
  • • Project Communication: Participate in client kickoff meetings and internal review sessions. Coordinate with engineering, production, quality, and contracts teams to resolve site issues.
  • • Client Relationship & Field Service: Conduct site visits, maintenance assessments, and provide post-installation support. Build relationships with plant heads and decisionmakers.
  • • Commercial Follow-up: Approve vendor invoices and assist with client billing follow-ups to ensure timely payments and smooth cash flow.
  • • Knowledge Transfer: Prepare and deliver training or documentation to clients and internal teams on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering
  • (B.E./B.Tech./Diploma)
  • • Experience: 5–10 years in erection & commissioning, particularly for Bag Filters, ESPs, Bag Houses, or similar APC systems Hands-on experience with overseas clients/projects preferred
  • • Technical Skills:
  • o Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation commissioning
  • o Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plant layouts
  • o Familiarity with international installation standards and plant safety practices
  • • Soft Skills:
  • o Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • o Ability to work independently in foreign environments
  • o Team coordination and documentation abilities
  • • Language Requirements:
  • o For Germany: English required, German a plus
  • o For France: Fluency in French is mandatory
  • • Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively and stay at project sites for extended durations
